Butylated Urea Formaldehyde Resin
JSB-IBUF 602-IB60 Butylated Urea Formaldehyde Resin is one of the widely used amino resins in the Iranian paint and coating industry, manufactured by Jahan Shimi Baspar Company (JSB). This resin is produced through the reaction of urea with formaldehyde, followed by butylation through etherification with isobutanol.
Butylation with isobutanol improves solubility and compatibility, reduces formaldehyde release during curing, and provides greater flexibility compared with conventional urea formaldehyde resins.
This product is supplied as 60 ± 1% solid content in isobutanol solvent. Its technical specifications are relatively similar to those of butylated melamine resins, but with differences in performance and cost, as it is generally more economical than melamine resin.
