Short oil Alkyd Resins are based on different fatty acids and Pentaerythritol or Glycerol, and are classified accordingly in two groups of air-drying and non-drying .Air-drying resins have very good hardening and adhesion characteristic. These are used for making air-drying hammer & industrial finishes, Nitro -cellulose lacquers, putty and metal surface coatings.Non-drying resins are used in combination with other resins such as Amino, Isocyante and Nitro-cellulose resins. These are used for making stoving enamels, car repair paints, car top coat paints, Nitro-cellulose lacquers. Short Oil Alkyd Resin Based on Soya Fatty Acid
JSB-SO 301-X60 Short Oil Alkyd Resin is a high-quality resin based on soya fatty acid, with an oil length of 35%. It is supplied as 60 ± 1% solid content in xylene solvent. This resin offers excellent gloss, very good color stability, suitable flexibility and adhesion, and acceptable durability under weathering conditions, making it an ideal choice for the formulation of industrial baking paints.
This product is especially used in the production of baking paints for industrial machinery, kitchen cabinets, as well as nitrocellulose paints and lacquers. JSB-SO 301-X60 Resin has full compatibility with common solvents such as xylene, butyl acetate, methyl isobutyl ketone, and mineral spirit. It is also compatible with various other short oil alkyd resins, such as JSB-IBUF602, JSB-NBMF7010, and similar grades. However, it is recommended to perform a compatibility test before blending.
